VLL support the launch of Immersive Education Europe

The European Chapter of the Immersive Education Initiative ("iED Europe") was formally launched at Boston iED 2011 earlier this month. The European chapter is headed by Dr. Michael Gardner (CTO of Virtual Learning Labs).

This is a regional chapter of the Immersive Education Initiative. iED Europe's Board of Governors liaise directly with the international Immersive Education Initiative and the Initiative's governing bodies to support the growth of Immersive Education around the world. Membership to iED Europe is free and open to the entire European academic community.

The new European Chapter will support the creation of a European-focused community of researchers, practitioners and users actively involved in the use of immersive and virtual reality technologies for education. This will include a dedicated European extension to The Education Grid (TEG), a network of immersive learning and teaching resources and virtual worlds, and a forum for iED Europe Summits, events and discussions.

Following the successful launch of the Open Wonderland Foundation the partners in VLL conducted their semi-annual meeting in Palm Beach, Florida.

VLL's CEO Ken Miller has endorsed support for a new product line of "hosted solutions" which compliments the company's innovative virtual learning appliance first engineered in 2009.

The partners have agreed in principal to expand the professional services division of the company and are actively looking for talented artists and software engineers to meet the demands of a growing market for VLL's services.

VLL continues to exceed its revenue expectations and Miller forecasts a particularly strong year for VLL professional services.
